Applegate’s ATV Feeder provides an end to bucket feeding
Union City, Indiana – September 19, 2012- Applegate Livestock Equipment (Applegate) has announced the addition of the Feed Train ATV Feeder to its line of products. Manufactured in Unionville, Missouri, the ATV Feeder offers the perfect alternative to bucket feeding livestock in remote areas and brings about new possibilities for farmers worldwide.
The ATV feeder supports many types of feed (including cubes) and features a feed capacity of 500lbs and a 4" auger, designed to fill bunks of all heights. The feed tank is translucent white plastic, so feed flows easily and is visible at all times.
Efficiency and low cost were key factors considered by Bob Lutz, owner of Feed Train when designing the ATV Feeder. "The new ATV Feeder has been an instant hit in the industry! It eliminates the need for costly bucket feeding and can be utilized to transport and distribute many types of feed, pellets or other products," explains Applegate’s Sales Manager, Aaron Applegate, "Bob has designed this product with the true cattle person in mind."
In addition to the features mentioned by Applegate, the ATV Feeder includes a large 18"x28" opening lid for easy loading and a dual-speed controller with 15ft cord that dispenses feed at two speeds: LO = 9 seconds/5 gallon or HI = 4.5 seconds/5 gallon. The ATV Feeder attaches to all styles of ATVs using a 2" Ball Hitch at 12" height. Tire size is 22x1100x8, while battery tender and circuit breaker protection are built-in for all electronics.
